Interesting stuff...

Here’s a post I borrowed from a friend...let's see...

Cravings
sweet foods = girl
salty foods = boy
Chips, pretzels, popcorn= BOY
Morning Sickness
Lots of nausea/morning sickness = girl
Little to no nausea/morning sickness = boy
No nausea or morning sickness thus far. = BOY.
Fetal Heart Rate
Heart rate over 140 beats per minute = girl
Heart rate under 140 beats per minute = boy
The heartbeat was 123 last visit, but it should be higher next time. So...for now we will go with = BOY.
Wedding Ring Test
Hang your wedding ring from a string, lie down, and hold it over your belly. If the ring swings in circles, it’s a girl. If the ring swings back and forth like a pendulum, it’s a boy.
This test I did several times and it always says GIRL.
Key Test
This one is just silly, pick up a key. If you picked it up by the thinner end, it’s a girl. If you picked it up by the rounder end, it’s a boy. If you picked it up by the middle, you’re having twins!
This one is kinda stupid, but I guess I pick them up by the rounder end, so = BOY.
Mother’s Intuition
According to a study done at the University of Arizona, pregnant women with no previous knowledge about their baby’s sex were able to correctly guess the sex of the baby 70% of the time.
This is hard because we both have always thought it was going to be a boy, but from the method of how we got pregnant, it would make more sense for it to be a girl. So I am just going to say Boy because we call it Baby C all the time = BOY.
Madame Zaritska
This one I found from my friend’s blog. Here’s what you do: Go to this website and answer questions about yourself and Madame Zaritska, the “virtual clairvoyant” will tell you about your baby and delivery. Mine points to GIRL .The day you deliver, outside will be hazy. Your baby will arrive in the late evening. After a labor lasting approximately 5 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 5 pounds, 5 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light gray eyes and some black hair. Is it even possible to be Hazy in November/December?
Ancient Chinese Gender Chart
This says BOY.
Red Cabbage Test
This one has a little science to it. Take a red cabbage and cut it into chunks, boil some water and put the chunks into it and remove it from heat. Let the water with the cabbage chunks sit for 10 minutes, then drain it. Save the water and you can eat the cabbage if you want (or if you’re like me, throw it away because it makes the kitchen smell a little funny). The cabbage juice will be a dark purple color. Pee in a cup, first morning urine is best. Mix equal parts cabbage juice and urine. If the mixture turns reddish/pinkish, it’s a boy and if the mixture turns blue/purple, it’s a girl.
Baking Soda Test
This one also has a little science to it. Pee in a cup and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda. If the mixture fizzes/foams, it’s a boy. If the mixture doesn’t do anything, it’ll look like a layer of white baking soda at the bottom with the urine on top and no layer of foam, it’s a girl.
Psychic
I'm adding this on because 2 weeks before we found out we were pregnant, I had a psychic reading done. And she said that she felt that I was pregnant "now" and that it would be a BOY.

We need to wait until about 10 weeks to do the red cabbage test and probably the baking soda test.

So here’s the score so far…
BOY= 7
GIRL= 2

our First Ultrasound EVER.

Hey Everyone...:) We have some updates, even though I really don't think anyone except the ladies in my secret group read this, tehe!

We have a little change in due date, it is now December 8, 2012 instead of Dec. 5...The Dec 5 is just what I had estimated, so December 8 is from the doctor herself.

We had an appt on April 18th to have an ultrasound. We (I) were so nervous. We weren't really sure what to expect, we were hoping for a healthy heartbeat, and to see something in there..haha.

Well. We go in, get checked in, I had to pee in yet another cup, I'm so sick of doing this...anyways...

The wait was Killing me!! we waited and waited and waited....finally the Dr. came in! Let's get this show on the road...

She does some exams...and then we get to do the ultrasound...

She gets the picture of Baby on the screen, and there she/he is!! With, A HEARTBEAT!!
Baby is the part with the measurement line on it. The other circle is the yolk sak.

Heart rate was 123 BPM...which is completely normal, esp for the first ultrasound...
We go back on May 16th, and then we will be about 11 weeks I think...almost out of the first trimester.

Then we asked the doctor, "There is only one right?" She says, " I haven't looked at the other side of your uterus yet!" AHHHHHHHH! Moment of freak out, but there was indeed only ONE! :) Sigh of relief. Not that we wouldn't have LOVED more than one this time, but there would have been sooo many changes to be made if there was more than one, which would have made things kind of difficult...so we are happy it's only one, but obviously would have welcomed 2 if that's what we were blessed with.

We are so happy and blessed that all our work and money and time has paid off and given us our goal. And we are so looking forward to meeting our little one in a couple months!! Let's hope baby C or baby A know that they have to STAY in that belly until at least November/December!! :)

Being relaxed, is not one of my strong suites!

So everyone...today we are 6 weeks 3 days!! AHHH! I can't believe how fast the last 3 weeks have gone by!

We are so excited, everything seems to be okay...but we will see for sure on Wednesday the 18th. We have a 7 week ultrasound!! We are praying and praying and praying that we see a heartbeat on the screen. I'm sure we will, we have been pretty positive throughout this whole thing so far...

I was on vacation this week, and might have cleaned out the dining room in anticipation of the baby coming...Who am I kidding, yes, I cleaned out the dining room, he closet now only has baby things in it! It is a great feeling to have that off my chest, because I was so stressed out about where to put things and if we would have enough room and such...so I am relieved to say, we will have plenty of room!! We know the layout we are going to do, and where we are putting things and it is a big relief.

We told our families...I should put pictures in here, but I'm not sure if I have time, I am going out with Grandma Quay to do some shopping, we both have too much on our minds, and are sitting home doing nothing and being bored...

So I will put pictures up, because apparently they are already on the computer...so that is good.

So I have a lot on my mind, in anticipation of this ultrasound...so not too much else is going on...
